CLC President, Senior Economist to comment on jobs survey

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 4, 2010) - Shortly after Statistics Canada releases its monthly Labour Force Survey on Friday, February 5, Ken Georgetti, president of the Canadian Labour Congress, and senior economist Sylvain Schetagne will be available to comment to the media.

Georgetti says there can be no economic recovery without a jobs recovery. He wrote recently to all MPs, as well as provincial and territorial premiers and finance ministers urging them to add to the economic stimulus measures that saved Canada from sinking into a deep recession. He says a growing number of economists in banks and think tanks agree with his analysis.
