Media Advisory: Fraser Institute and Montreal Economic Institute Host News Conference for Release of Report Card on Quebec Secondary Schools

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 23, 2007) - The Fraser Institute and Montreal Economic Institute will release the annual Report Card on Quebec's Secondary Schools on Thursday, October 25 at 10 a.m.

The Report Card on Quebec's Secondary Schools is the only independent measurement of 466 of Quebec's public and private, French and English, secondary schools. These results will be published in a special edition of L'Actualite magazine, available at the news conference (and on newsstands on October 26).


The full report card and complete rankings will be released at a news conference co-hosted by The Fraser Institute and the Montreal Economic Institute. Report card authors Peter Cowley, Fraser Institute Director of School Performance Studies, and Marcel Boyer, vice president and chief economist with the Montreal Economic Institute, will provide a brief overview of the report card results and be available for questions.
