Media Advisory: From Space to Powell River Students

POWELL RIVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2009) - Media representatives are invited to the Brooks Secondary School in Powell River, British Columbia, to witness an out-of-this-world conversation. Students from School District 47 will have the unique opportunity to ask their questions to Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Robert Thirsk while he is in space. Astronaut Thirsk will be going back to his roots since he attended Grief Point Elementary School in Powell River when he was a young boy. Some of his former teachers have been invited to attend the event.
