Media Advisory/Hurricane Bill: New Phone Dial-In Code for the First Canadian Hurricane Centre Media Technical Briefing

DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 21, 2009) - Friday, August 21, 2009 - Media representatives are advised that Canadian Hurricane Centre officials from Environment Canada will give two technical media briefings on the significant weather conditions expected from Hurricane Bill. Peter Bowyer, Program Supervisor for the Canadian Hurricane Centre, will present the latest forecast information about Hurricane Bill.

Representatives from Nova Scotia's Emergency Management Office will also be on hand to answer questions in person, and representatives from the Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick and Newfoundland & Labrador Emergency Measures Organizations may also be participating by phone.



First Event: Media Technical Briefing

(# 1524). Media should enter the building through the
main entrance on Alderney Drive.


A third technical briefing might be held on Sunday, August 23.
