Media Advisory: Jatin Nathwani Featured Speaker at Seminar on Ontario's Energy Future

Respected energy authority to deliver third Policy Engagement Series lecture at Hart House on October 29, 2009 (noon - 2 p.m.)

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 28, 2009) - At the third Policy Engagement Series hosted by the Ontario Centre for Engineering and Public Policy, Dr. Jatin Nathwani will investigate the key issues and challenges in understanding current global and North American energy sector trends, and how universities can foster innovation to address the complex energy challenges. In addition, he will discuss specific near-term technological innovations in Ontario to transform the energy industry. The event will be held in the Debates room of Hart House (2nd floor), University of Toronto, from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, October. 29.

Dr. Nathwani is a professor and the Ontario research chair in public policy and sustainable energy management in the faculties of engineering and environment at the University of Waterloo. He has extensive experience in the energy sector at the corporate level, and recently contributed to the development of the Ontario Power Authority's integrated power system plan.
