Media Advisory: Labour Protests John Howard's Visit

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - May 17, 2006) - The Canadian Labour Congress and the Ottawa Labour Council will protest the visit by the Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, prior to his address to the House of Commons tomorrow.

A rally has been organized to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18
at the Centennial Flame on Parliament Hill.

Speakers at the rally include Barbara Byers, executive vice-president of the Canadian Labour Congress, Patty Ducharme from the Public Service Alliance of Canada, and Peggy Nash, M.P. (Parkdale- High Park).
