Media Advisory: Leading International Research Agencies Announce Winners of Prestigious New "Digging into Data" Competition

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Dec. 2, 2009) - The eight teams to win the first international competition for the Digging into Data Challenge will be announced on December 3, 2009. This competition is a partnership between the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (Canada), the National Endowment for the Humanities (U.S.), the National Science Foundation (U.S.), and the Joint Information Systems Committee (U.K.).

Media representatives are invited to attend the announcement. James Leach, the newly appointed chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, will give keynote remarks.
