CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Nov. 20, 2008) - The Micronutrient Initiative will mark an important milestone, the five billionth capsule of vitamin A manufactured for the Micronutrient Initiative in Canada at Banner Pharmacaps (Canada) Limited in Olds, Alberta.

The Micronutrient Initiative's vitamin A program has saved the lives of more than two million children over the past 10 years. A global organization based in Ottawa, the Micronutrient Initiative is responsible for the procurement of millions of vitamin A supplements each year, which are distributed to children in 70 countries to help boost their immune systems.
