Media Advisory: Micronutrient Initiative Event to Commemorate Manufacture of the Five Billionth Vitamin A Capsule on Nov. 25 in Alberta

The Micronutrient Initiative is holding an event to commemorate its five billionth capsule of vitamin A manufactured in Canada - a significant milestone in our country's contribution to child survival in developing countries. The Micronutrient Initiative, a global non-profit organization based in Ottawa, has distributed the vitamin A over the last 10 years, helping to save the lives of at least two million children in 70 developing countries. The event is being held in Olds, Alberta at one of two manufacturers that supply vitamin A to the Micronutrient Initiative.
