Media Advisory: Minister of Veterans Affairs Visits Charlottetown to Mark Anniversaries, 65th Anniversary of the Department and 25th Anniversary of its Move to PEI

CHARLOTTETOWN, PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND--(Marketwire - Oct. 23, 2009) - The Honourable Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs, will be in Charlottetown Monday, October 26, 2009 to commemorate two major anniversaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs.

October 18, 2009 marks the 65th anniversary of the creation of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This year also marks the 25th anniversary of the move of the Department from Ottawa to Charlottetown.
