Media Advisory: Ontario's Already Damaged Home Care System at Risk Again as Ontario Poised to Lift Ban on Competitive Bidding

SUDBURY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 7, 2010) - Ontario's home care system has already been seriously damaged by the McGuinty government's continuation of Mike Harris' contracting out policy. That damage may come any day now if the province proceeds with plans to lift its ban on competitive bidding. The ban expired March 31. Union officials, health care experts and home care workers will warn the public of the possible consequences at a news conference April 8.
