QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2008) - Parks Canada and the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada invite you to the unveiling of a plaque commemorating the national historic significance of the Hersey Pavilion.

The stately Hersey Pavilion symbolizes the development and the recognition of nursing as a profession in the early 20th century. The residence provided a home-like setting, where a pioneering generation of professional nurses lived, trained, and formed lasting ties.

The Honourable Pierre Claude Nolin, Senator, will participate in the unveiling ceremony on behalf of Canada's Environment Minister John Baird.
