Media Advisory: Parliamentary Secretary Wong to Speak About the Reintroduction of Amendments to the Immigration Act to Protect Vulnerable Workers

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - June 24, 2009) - On behalf of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney, Dr. Alice Wong, Parliamentary Secretary for Multiculturalism, will hold a news conference regarding the reintroduction of amendments to the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) to help protect vulnerable foreign workers such as exotic dancers and live-in caregivers who could be victims of exploitation.
