Media Advisory / Public Safety Canada: Signing ceremony for Community Tripartite Agreement for Woodland Cree Nation

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 26, 2007) - Chris Warkentin, Member of Parliament for Peace River, on behalf of the Honourable Stockwell Day, Minister of Public Safety, together with Ron Hepperle, on behalf of Honourable Fred Lindsay, Solicitor General and Minister of Public Safety for Alberta, will join Woodland Cree First Nation officials in a signing ceremony to celebrate their new Community Tripartite Agreement for aboriginal policing.

Attendees will also include Royal Canadian Mounted Police Chief Superintendent Fred Kamins, on behalf of Deputy Commissioner Rod Knetch, Commanding Officer, "K" Division.

The event will include speeches, the signing ceremony and a dance presentation.
