Media Advisory: Swansea Hockey Association Celebrates 35th Season of Outdoor Hockey in the City of Toronto

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2008) - The Swansea Hockey Association is known for being the largest outdoor not for profit hockey league in North America. Over the past 35 years more than 16,000 participants, boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 17, have put on skates to play at Rennie Park. None of it would be possible without the continuous support of Parks and Recreation, City of Toronto, all of the past and present sponsors and the countless hours by the thousands of volunteers.

Braving the Canadian winter, players thrive in an atmosphere of encouragement and fair-play. It's an affordable, low-key, fun, and safe environment for players and parents to learn to skate, learn hockey, enjoy the sport and spend time with friends and family in the great outdoors.

Please join the league in celebrating this milestone. Festivities will commence at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Rennie Rink, 1 Rennie Terrace, Toronto.
