Media Advisory: The Public Service Commission to Table its 2007-2008 Annual Report, a Report on Investigations and two Audits

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 28, 2008) - The Public Service Commission of Canada (PSC) will table its 2007-2008 Annual Report to Parliament, as well as a Report on Investigations and two audit reports, on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. In addition, three studies will be released on that day.

Media representatives are invited to attend a press conference with PSC President Maria Barrados at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at the National Press Theatre, 150 Wellington Street, Ottawa.

Upon tabling of the Annual Report at approximately 10:00 a.m., the following documents will be available at Copies will also be available through the Parliamentary Press Gallery.

Reports to be tabled in the House:

The Public Service Commission's Annual Report is the formal means by which the Commission reports to Parliament on its oversight of the integrity of the staffing system and non-partisanship in the federal public service.

Report on Investigations conducted by the Public Service Commission in 2007-2008

Two audits to be tabled:

Government-wide audit of executive (EX) appointments

Follow-up audit of the Commission for Public Complaints against the RCMP
