OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 30, 2010) - Tree Canada, an Ottawa-based national tree organization, will be honouring FedEx Express Canada with the presentation of the Eterne Award - an honour presented to an outstanding sponsor in celebration of environmental stewardship. FedEx Express Canada has been a strong supporter of Tree Canada's Greening Canada's School Grounds program, helping green 30 schools over two years as well as helping fund B.C. Fire ReLeaf and other reforestation programs. Our celebration of FedEx's commitment will take place at Featherston Drive Public School, one of the recipients of the program in 2009. A short presentation will take place featuring David Binks, president of FedEx Express Canada and Michael Rosen, president of Tree Canada, followed by a tree planting.
