Media Advisory: United We Rock! Concert for Human Rights to be held at Yonge & Dundas Square

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 6, 2010) -

What: The Armenian Youth of Toronto (AYT) will host a FREE concert, United We Rock! Concert for Human Rights, at Toronto's Yonge & Dundas Square. The concert will feature a number of local established and up-and-coming artists including Amos The Transparent, Birds of Wales, Karina Es, One Fell Swoop, Fame City Boiz, Humble the Poet, Graydon James and the Young Novelists, and Aramik.
When: Saturday, May 8, 2010 from 12:00 – 7:00p.m.
Where: Yonge & Dundas Square, Toronto
Who: AYT has collaborated with Hope for Rwanda's Children Fund, STAND Canada, International Institute for Genocide & Human Rights Studies, Friends of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, Genocide Watch & Cambodian Genocide Project and Oxfam Canada, as well as numerous other cultural and political organizations.
Details: This event is about bringing attention to international human rights violations involving genocide, war crimes, racism, and the restriction of freedom of expression. With information booths set up along the perimeter of the concert space, partner and participating organizations will personally convey their specific message.
