OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 23, 2008) - John Baird, Canada's Environment Minister, representing the Honourable Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs, will deliver remarks and lay a wreath at a ceremony to mark ANZAC Day.

On April 25 every year, Australia and New Zealand commemorate ANZAC Day. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The day commemorates the landing of troops at Gallipoli on April 25, 1915. It has evolved over the years to include commemoration of those Australians and New Zealanders who served in the Second World War.
