BEAVERTON, OR--(Marketwire - November 2, 2009) - HomeGrid Forum, a global, non-profit trade group promoting the United Nations' International Telecommunication Union's (ITU-T) G.hn standardization efforts, will discuss the future of home networking at the OPASTCO 2009 Technical and Marketing Symposium on November 4, 2009 in Minneapolis. With more than four decades of commitment to rural telecommunications' success, OPASTCO (Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies) is a national trade association that is actively engaged in the critical issues that affect rural carriers, their customers, and the network infrastructure that carries in-demand technologies and services.

WHAT: Technical Session on Home Networks and Applications. This session will include a HomeGrid Forum's presentation on the future of home networking using the next-generation wired networking standard, G.hn, for connecting components via telephone wiring, coaxial cable, and power line.
