President Ken Coran delivers the state of the union address
to 800 delegates, alternates and guests from across Ontario at
9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 13

Eight hundred delegates, alternates and guests from all parts of the province are attending this year's Annual Meeting of the Provincial Assembly of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF/FEESO).

President Ken Coran delivered his address at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and is available for interviews at noon after the Minister of Education delivers her remarks. (A copy of the full address can be accessed on the OSSTF/FEESO website www.ossstf.on.ca).

During the annual meeting, Honourable Leona Dombrowsky, Minister of Education; Dr. Samantha Nutt, Founder and Executive Director of War Child Canada; and Andrea Horwath, Leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party (ONDP), will address the delegates.

Media representatives are welcome throughout all three days of the assembly. Please report to the credentials desk in the Grand Ballroom foyer to pick up media passes.

Saturday, March 13

11:00 Honourable Leona Dombrowsky, Minister of Education, will address the delegates followed by a question and answer period.
11:30 Presentation of the Student Achievement Awards in honour of Marion Drysdale. This moving ceremony honours students from across the province.

Sunday, March 14

Monday, March 15

Andrea Horwath, Leader of the ONDP, will address the delegates.

OSSTF/FEESO, founded in 1919, has 60,000 members across Ontario. They include public high school teachers, occasional teachers, educational assistants, continuing education teachers and instructors, psychologists, secretaries, speech-language pathologists, social workers, plant support personnel, attendance counsellors, and many others in education.
