Medipattern Continues to Strengthen US Sales Channel With Three Established CAD Resellers

Healthcare Solutions, Physician Consultant Medical Sales, and Radiology Services to Expand Medipattern's Distribution Network

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 9, 2007) -

Attention: Business/Financial Editors

The Medipattern Corporation (TSX VENTURE:MKI), an award-winning developer of computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) solutions for medical imaging, is pleased to announce the signing of sales agreements with three resellers: Healthcare Solutions, Incorporated; Physician's Consultant Medical Sales, Inc.; and Radiology Services, LLC. All three resellers focus on products specifically designed for the breast imaging market. The agreements arise out of Medipattern's newly focused sales strategy, and not only reflect Medipattern's significant industry profile but form an integral component in the creation of Medipattern's own end-user sales channel.

Healthcare Solutions, headquartered in Richmond, VA, is now authorized to resell Medipattern's B-CAD™ in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Healthcare Solutions was founded in 1999 and carries a full line of mammography solutions, including CAD for mammography. "B-CAD offers a unique capability to extend CAD into breast ultrasound. The majority of our customers already use CAD for mammography and they know the value of CAD, so it seems natural for these physicians to look at CAD for ultrasound," says Chris Michel, Vice President of Healthcare Solutions.

Physician Consultant Medical Sales is based in Lindenhurst, New York. "I am very excited to bring B-CAD to the Northern Atlantic Region," says Amy Eriksen, President of Physician Consultant Medical Sales, Inc. "Ultrasound is the one modality that can identify masses in dense breast tissue, a key issue in finding breast cancer in younger women. In addition, B-CAD provides a checklist workflow process that improves efficiency and reduces transcription costs, ultimately enabling physicians to track cases from exam to exam and increase the standard of care for the millions of breast care patients."

Radiology Services, LLC, founded in January 2001, will support sales in the Central Midwestern states. Their staff has been involved in breast imaging for over 30 years. President and CEO, Scott Wasson, comments, "CAD provides consistency in reading from patient-to-patient and from physician-to-physician. Many of the facilities in this region are supported by radiology service providers that rarely read from the same imaging modality from one exam to the next. B-CAD can improve the accuracy of multi-modality radiologists to that of specialists in ultrasound. This will provide the consistency in reporting and documentation that is a necessity to serve the types of remote reading practices that dominate this region."

"Medipattern's strategic alignment with these three focused resellers expands our aggressive reseller program, created to penetrate the end-user market. Specialized resellers provide the kind of technological expertise and access to customers that can benefit from the improvements that B-CAD offers." states Jeff Collins, CEO of Medipattern. "B-CAD automatically lists the key features to characterize each lesion, generating an American College of Radiologists' BI-RADS® score for breast imaging analysis. B-CAD then organizes all of the information for the radiologist in a natural language report that can be printed or electronically stored. B-CAD offers radiologists the ability to improve accuracy, increase diagnostic confidence, and improve workflow in documenting and reporting their findings. These process enhancements may, in turn, improve the standard of care for the millions of women who have ultrasound procedures every year."
