Michener Community Saddened by Loss of Former Student

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 20, 2009) - The Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences is deeply saddened by the loss of Khanh Christine Taing, a former respiratory therapy student, who died on Saturday, October 17 in a fatal car collision.

"We were very surpised to learn that one of our former students was a victim in such a tragic incident," said Paul Gamble, President and CEO, The Michener Institute. "On behalf of the entire Michener community, I extend our deepest condolences to Mr. Pho Taing and Christine's surviving family."

Grief counseling services have been made available to Christine's classmates in the respiratory therapy program as well as all Michener students.
