Microsoft Announces Xbox 360 Price Reduction

Microsoft has announced it will reduce the price of the Xbox 360 gaming system by $50 beginning August 8 at retailers nationwide. The announcement comes just days before the launch of “Madden NFL 08” the best-selling game of last year. Microsoft Vice President Mitchell Koch says the price cut will help them reach new audiences and expand on their lead in the game console sector:

“Xbox 360 offers an unsurpassed experience right out of the box and an incredible value at this new price. This fall we have the greatest line-up of games ever, including blockbusters like Madden NFL 08, Guitar Hero III and the biggest franchise in entertainment, Halo 3. With our new price and incredible lineup of games there’s no better time to Jump-in to Xbox 360.”

The only game console where “Madden NFL 08” will play twice the speed of last year’s Xbox 360, “Madden NFL 08”is available in stores starting next Tuesday, August 14. For more information on “Madden” and Xbox 360, visit www.xbox.com.
