Microsoft Selects Toronto-Based QLogitek as Top Finalist for the 2010 Microsoft Partner Awards

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 23, 2010) - Today, QLogitek announced it has been selected as a finalist for the Microsoft Partner Awards in the SOA and Business Process Partner of the Year award category.

"We are honored to have been nominated as a worldwide finalist by Microsoft for the supply chain cloud computing applications that we are deploying to help businesses achieve competitiveness and growth," said Isa Qureshi, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer at QLogitek.

Awards will be presented in a number of categories, with winners and finalists chosen from a pool of almost 3,000 entrants worldwide. The SOA and Business Process Partner of the Year Award recognizes systems integrators, solution and service providers, and software developers who concentrate on service-oriented architectures, enterprise application integration, business-to-business application integration, business process management, and adapter development using BizTalk Server. This award honors QLogitek for demonstrating significant quantifiable business value for their customers by using Microsoft technologies.

"Congratulations to the 2010 Partner Award finalists for delivering such creative and superior Microsoft solutions and services," said Allison Watson, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group, Microsoft Corp. "It's incredible to see the level of expertise our partners continue to exhibit as they create and deliver innovative solutions and services to grow their businesses, meet customer needs, and drive down costs."

In 2010, QLogitek assisted HDS Retail North America (HDS RNA) in automating the exchange of business information with its suppliers, in conjunction with Microsoft's BizTalk Server. "Together with QLogitek we are implementing the capabilities and infrastructure to position our company towards major transformational changes in our organization and our industry. So far, we have experienced measurable benefits in the productivity and visibility of our supply chain and expect this trend to continue in the future," said HDS RNA's Vice President of Finance.

QLogitek has been aligning its efforts as a partner with Microsoft since 1999. Many of the company's successes have been the first of their kind for a Canadian organization, such as becoming Microsoft's first supply chain management go-to partner in 2002. The Microsoft Partner Awards recognize Microsoft partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions over the past year.
