Mike's Hard Lemonade Co. Named 2010 Company of the Year

Prestigious Award Announced at Recent The Beverage Forum Conference

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - June 22, 2010) -  Mike's Hard Lemonade Co., a pioneer in the Progressive Adult Beverage segment, was named the 2010 Company of the Year at The Beverage Forum, the annual global beverage industry conference. The Beverage Marketing Corporation and Beverage World magazine grant the award annually recognizing outstanding performance in the beverage industry. Mike's received the award in the best of the small companies category that honors one organization with less than $1 billion in revenue.

2010 marked the 17th annual Beverage Forum. Under the theme "Navigating the New Normal," the conference featured a series of panel discussions, keynote speeches and industry specific breakout sessions on the current uncertain and challenging marketing climate for beverage companies.

The award comes on the heels of a record-setting 2009 for Mike's. The Company, which has had national U.S. distribution for only ten years, shipped 2 million cases more than previous year, up almost 19%, and increased its market share in the Progressive Adult Beverage segment by 22%

In addition to this award, the first half of 2010 marked two major initiatives: In March, Mike's introduced THE CLASSIC MARGARITA by mike's™, a new line of premium ready-to-pour margaritas. And, in May it launched the largest advertising campaign in the Company's history. The national multimedia campaign includes air spots on broadcast, digital and radio channels and will continue to be supported through trade, on-premise and event sampling programs.
