Military Personnel Eligible for Exclusive $20,000 Scholarship From FIU
Enrollment Deadline Draws Near for Active Duty Personnel, Military Veterans and Family
MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - January 19, 2010) - The deadline is fast approaching for the start of
spring classes in Florida International University's online Corporate
Master of Business Administration (CMBA) program, but there's still time
for active duty military and veterans to apply for a $20,000 scholarship.
In order to use the scholarship for classes that begin Monday, February 22,
students must apply by Friday, February 5, which is also the enrollment
deadline.
The University is offering qualifying active duty military personnel and
veterans, as well as their direct family members, a $20,000 scholarship to
pursue an accredited degree online from FIU's Chapman Graduate School of
Business -- ranked by U.S. News & World Report and BusinessWeek as one of
the nation's leading international business schools.
The $20,000 scholarship reduces the cost of the degree program to the
student by almost half. FIU is offering the scholarship to our nation's
servicemen and women to give them an opportunity to seek an affordable and
accessible high quality MBA, which in turn will help them as they pursue
their career goals in the military or as they transition to careers after
military service. By completing the 18-month online program, taught by
FIU's full-time faculty, CMBA graduates will enhance managerial skills like
analytical thinking and reasoning, team building and business strategy --
all of which will help graduates better position themselves in today's
challenging economic environment.
Military candidates applying for a scholarship must enter the term
"Military" in the partnership code portion of the application to qualify.
Proof of military service must be verified. Scholarship applicants must
meet all admission requirements and provide two letters of recommendation
from military personnel, along with an essay explaining the applicant's
interest in seeking the CMBA. For additional information about FIU's CMBA
program and scholarship opportunities, go to www.CMBA.fiu.edu or call
1-866-223-7720.
