Miller Tabak Roberts Securities Obtains Restraining Order Against Chapdelaine and Lori Samuels After Unlawful Access to MTR Computer Systems

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - May 4, 2010) -  Miller Tabak Roberts Securities, LLC ("MTR") announced today that it had obtained a temporary restraining order against former employee Lori Samuels and against Chapdelaine & Co., prohibiting both of them from using MTR's confidential information or trade secrets.

The restraining order stems from two recent incidents in which Ms. Samuels -- after resigning her position at MTR and joining Chapdelaine -- illegally accessed an MTR Bloomberg account, and reviewed and transferred to Chapdelaine proprietary MTR trading information and other confidential communications. Samuels has admitted in writing that the unauthorized accesses occurred.

MTR Chief Executive Officer Robert Schoenthal noted that "MTR is dedicated to maintaining the integrity of our proprietary information and will not permit it to be compromised. We regret having to take this action, but we cannot and will not tolerate the theft of information from our computer systems."

The matter, pending in the Supreme Court for New York County, is styled Miller Tabak Roberts Securities, LLC v. Samuels, et al., Index No. 2010/601123.
