Mindjet Appoints Jeremy Jaech to Board of Directors

Jaech Brings Solid History of Success as a Former Microsoft Exec, Co-Founder of Aldus and Visio, and CEO of Trumba

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - November 29, 2007) - Mindjet, the global leader in software for visualizing and using information, has appointed Jeremy Jaech to its board of directors.

A 20-year veteran software industry executive with highly relevant expertise for Mindjet's business, Jaech co-founded and led both Aldus and Visio, two market-creating software companies. Following Visio's acquisition by Microsoft Corporation in 2000, he served as vice president of the Business Tools Division. He is CEO of the innovative Seattle-based Web-hosted software marketer Trumba.

"We are delighted to welcome Jeremy to the Mindjet team and gratified that we are attracting such high-caliber talent to our board," said Scott Raskin, chief executive officer. "Jeremy's extensive experience, vision and leadership will provide additional insights and strength for our company."

Jaech is best known as co-founder of Aldus Corporation and Visio Corporation, where he was president and CEO. Aldus launched the era of desktop publishing in 1985 through its introduction of PageMaker software, an application allowing users to mix type and graphics on the same page. In 1990, Jaech co-founded Visio Corporation, which introduced software that enabled information-technology professionals and engineers to diagram, visualize, document and share ideas including flowcharts, organization charts and office layouts. Microsoft acquired Visio in 2000 for over $1.2B and Jaech became vice president of the Business Tools Division for Microsoft Corporation. Following Microsoft, Jaech co-founded Trumba Corporation, an innovative developer of event calendaring software-as-a-service for businesses and organizations. Jaech also serves on the board of directors of Seattle-based RealNetworks, Inc., Trumba Corporation and Alibre Inc. He holds a BA in mathematics and an MS in computer science from the University of Washington.

"Mindjet is on a solid positive trajectory and I'm excited about helping accelerate success," Jaech said. "As a powerful application that helps people visualize information, MindManager is compelling for the collaborative work culture."
