Mob4Hire Inc.: World's First and Only Crowd-Sourced Mobile Market Research and Testing Company Reaches Major Milestone

Calgary based Mob4Hire signs on tester Number 20,000

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Sept. 22, 2009) - Mob4Hire Inc. (Mob4Hire), the world's first and only crowd-sourced mobile market research and testing company announced today that it now has 20,000 mobile application testers (mobsters) operating in 105 countries. "Mobster number 20,000 came on board earlier this month and the number keeps growing," said Stephen King, Mob4Hire Chief Executive Officer. "In just over four months we have doubled the number of mobsters providing market research and testing services to mobile application developers around the world."

Mob4Hire now serves more than 700 application developers on 330 mobile network carriers around the world. "There is an explosion of applications being developed for mobile devices like iPhone and BlackBerry," said Mr. Paul Poutanen, President and founder of Mob4Hire, "Every one of those applications need to be tested to see if they work on every mobile phone and on every network. That's why developers around the world are so keen to sign up with Mob4Hire. We have been able to reduce testing costs by as much as 90 per cent."

In the past, application developers had to purchase mobile handsets and then travel to test their application on all networks. It costs on average, $6,000 per mobile handset. Mob4Hire changes that by linking developers with testers around the world who are paid to download the application on their mobile phone, test them on their network carrier and then provide feedback to the developer.

"We like to call ourselves a micro-multi-national company," said King. "We're headquartered in Calgary Alberta with staff and advisors in three countries and we reach almost every mobile network on earth." More than 100,000 new applications have been developed in 2009 and users have downloaded close to 10 billion applications worldwide. The mobile application industry is expected to grow from $8 billion in 2009 to $25 billion in the next five years. "Our growth potential is incredible," said Poutanen. "We are well positioned to meet the needs of mobile applications now and for the future."
