Mobile BIS Enhances Utility of Google Latitude

New Commercial Applications Increase Productivity and Security

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - October 21, 2009) - Mobile BIS, one of the nation's leading providers of mobile application software, has announced the immediate release of a new enhancement to its Route Optimization solution utilizing Google Maps and Google Latitude. Especially designed for commercial use, the new software allows businesses to accurately interface with a field operator about routing logistics as well as execute functions with greater security.

While Google Latitude essentially "tracks" the location of a registered cell phone user's mobile devise. Mobile BIS's Route Optimization Engine provides specific driving instructions for deliveries, allows for logging pick-up confirmations, and, based on GPS location, mileage and special circumstances, designs the most efficient routes for the next stop -- all in real time.

"In conjunction with Google Maps, we are able to pinpoint a driver's exact location as well as plot it on a map. This technology makes it easier and more efficient for routing of drivers, or other employees who are in the field," Mobile BIS President Michael Macho explained. "This is leading edge technology directly improving business productivity," Macho added.

Macho also noted that the application has unique value to police and firefighters, who rely upon urgent navigation of city streets. The application assists the personnel at remote locations as well as management who are ultimately responsible for their safe and efficient deployment.
