Mobile University Fills Out Mobile Marketing Retail Panel With Motorola and OfficeMax

Come Learn From the Mobile Marketing Industry's Leaders and Participate in Interactive Mobile Experiences


CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - April 14, 2010) - Two weeks from today on April 28, 2010, the country's leading mobile marketing experts, agencies and brands will descend upon Chicago for Mobile University, a one-day, interactive mobile marketing educational conference being put on by the Heartland Mobile Council (HMC) at the Spertus Institute in Chicago. 

"We just confirmed the final speakers for the retail and mobile panels, which will include executives from The Weather Channel, OfficeMax and Steve Madden Shoes," noted Hugh Jedwill, executive director of the Heartland Mobile Council. "They join an already impressive speaker line-up including AT&T, Motorola, and Google/YouTube. We're really excited about the momentum building around the event and the growing interest in mobile marketing."

Mobile University will consist of educational sessions from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with opening full-conference sessions on mobile advertising and mobile marketing, followed by an interactive lunch, afternoon breakout sessions and a closing retail panel. 

"What's really exciting is that our mission of educating marketers is expanding beyond the Midwest to retail brands and agencies across the US and into Canada," said Mobile University committee member Matt Albiniak.

Following is an overview of the interactive components that will be available to attendees:

  • "Text to Win" SMS Campaign with questions asked at lunch and during one of the breaks. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the day, and winners must be present to win. 
  • Post-Event Survey that will send a list of questions to attendees to gauge their experience at the event. Once filled out, we will provide a link to HMC to get the presentations from the day.

The pre-registration ticket price is $99 and can be purchased here. On April 26, the ticket price will increase to $149. In addition, a post-conference networking event for attendees will take place at NV Penthouse from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and a free trolley will be provided from the Spertus Institute.
