MobileMonday Toronto Hosts Global Mobile Leadership Summit

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Sept. 28, 2009) - On October 5th, MobileMonday Toronto will host a Global Mobile Leadership Summit with a panel of veteran business leaders who will share their knowledge, thoughts and experiences on opportunities and challenges for Canada to become more of a global leader in mobile and communications. The panel of three leaders will be led by a moderator with questions and answers open to the audience. The event is being held in conjunction with MobileMonday Toronto's partnership with MaRS.

The three leaders selected include Robert Ferchat, former CEO of Bell Mobility, Karna Gupta, former CEO of Certicom, and Steven Woods, Google Canada, Site Director. "All three leaders bring together a wealth of experience, not only in Canada, but internationally. The topic for discussion is quite complex, with government, technology, capital and market forces all having an impact on Canada's long-term viability as a leader in this area. The panel will bring multiple perspectives on questions and discussions" said Jim Brown and Alexander S. Bosika, co-founders of the MobileMonday Toronto chapter. "We're also hopeful this will become an ongoing discussion that will provide thought leadership that can be shared at multiple stake-holder levels".

The panel will be moderated by noted entrepreneur, Randall Howard of Verdexus Capital Partners.
