MobileMonday Toronto Welcomes Sponsorship From the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association

Key sponsorship fuels momentum of the Toronto-based mobile business networking group

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 5, 2007) - MobileMonday Toronto is pleased to welcome the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) as the newest sponsor of the Toronto-based organization. The milestone partnership marks the first time a national wireless association or body has sponsored a MobileMonday chapter outside of Asia.

MobileMonday Toronto is a non-profit industry group that was set up as a forum to grow the wireless industry in the Toronto region. The Toronto chapter is affiliated with the highly successful MobileMonday global organization. MobileMonday Toronto events are held monthly, usually the first Monday of each month, and feature high-profile mobile industry speakers and networking opportunities for mobile industry professionals.

"The CWTA sponsorship is significant because it validates our efforts and objectives over the last two years to establish MobileMonday Toronto as the leading business networking group for mobile business professionals in the Greater Toronto area," said Jim Brown and Alexander S. Bosika, co-founders of the Toronto chapter of MobileMonday.

"MobileMonday is an important initiative for Canada's wireless industry in the Toronto area," said David Farnes, CWTA's Vice President, Industry and Regulatory Affairs. "CWTA is pleased to be a part of these efforts that provide an ongoing forum for mobile professionals to exchange ideas and knowledge."

"The fast growing global MobileMonday network is excited to have the CWTA support the MobileMonday Toronto chapter," commented Jari Tammisto, CEO and President of MobileMonday Global. "We welcome all Canadian mobile companies to take an active role in the global network to enhance cross-border business development, and to share trends for the benefit of our industry growth."

Over the last two years, MobileMonday Toronto has featured executives from Yahoo!, Google, Research In Motion, Rogers Wireless, Palm Inc., BiteTV, Ventures West, BCE Capital, Brightspark Capital and Sean Wise Mentor Capital. It has become the must-attend monthly event for mobile industry professionals.
