Monster Copper Corporation: Drilling Completed and Assays Pending on Mustang Lake Uranium Property, Labrador

RICHMOND HILL, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 1, 2006) - Monster Copper Corp. (TSX VENTURE:MNS) is pleased to report that the Phase 2 drill program on the Mustang Lake property, Labrador, has now been completed and core samples have been sent for analysis. Work on the Mustang Lake and Bruce River properties is under the terms of a 50:50 Joint Venture with Santoy Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SAN).

On the Mustang Lake property a total of 2,700 m (1,200 m more than originally scheduled) in 17 holes were drilled to test seven discrete airborne radiometric uranium anomalies, which are associated with glacially dispersed uranium-bearing boulders. Three holes drilled by Santoy in 2005 encountered shear-hosted mineralization. Subsequently an airborne radiometric uranium anomaly was identified immediately to the northeast, suggesting that the mineralization encountered in the drill holes could represent the fringe of a more significant mineralized zone.

On the Bruce River property, exploration permits have been approved and a field program will commence later this month. The program is to consist of field-checking of radiometric anomalies generated by the 2005 airborne geophysical survey, and following up known showings. Grab samples collected last field season from showings on the property include 0.678% U3O8 from the Sylvia Lake showing, 0.218% U3O8 from the Moran "A" showing and 0.104% U3O8 from the Ferguson-Brown showing.
