More Than 100 D-Link® Computer Networking Products Now Available for U.S. Government Purchase

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA--(Marketwire - October 27, 2009) - As a result of Taiwan's accession to the World Trade Organization's Government Procurement Agreement and its recognition as a designated country under the Trade Agreements Act (TAA), more than 100 D-Link® computer networking products are now available for purchase by U.S. government agencies that purchase from D-Link resellers with U.S. Government Services Agency (GSA) Schedules.

Headquartered in Taiwan, D-Link manufactures many of its products there, which are in turn sold worldwide to consumers and businesses, including government agencies. D-Link products also are manufactured or assembled in other parts of the world.

The addition of Taiwan to the list of TAA designated countries creates opportunities for Taiwan-made products to be sold to the U.S. federal marketplace through D-Link's vast network of channel partner resellers with GSA Schedules. It also means that many of D-Link's products, including wireless and wired network switches, network storage and Internet Protocol (IP) cameras, are now compliant with the TAA. A selected number of D-Link's best-selling, fully managed business class xStack® switches became TAA-compliant in 2007.

The U.S. Trade Agreement Act (TAA) of 1979 statute implements numerous international trade agreements and other trade initiatives. TAA-compliant products must be manufactured or substantially transformed in the U.S. or designated countries to be eligible for U.S. government purchase.

"Many of our computer networking solutions are now successfully installed in government applications throughout the U.S.," said Nick Tidd, vice president of sales of D-Link Pan America and vice president of marketing for D-Link North America. "This further enhances our opportunities to expand our market share in the government sector, and gives our channel partners greater incentive to bring our high-quality, cost-effective solutions to their federal customers."

"We are very happy to see that Taiwan has become one of the designated international trade countries for the U.S. government," said Tony Tsao, CEO and president, D-Link Corporation. "We are confident that U.S. government customers will appreciate the value D-Link end-to-end networking solutions bring to their purchasing decisions."
