MyTherapistMatch.com Launches Compatibility-Based Matchmaking Service

First-of-Its-Kind Service Dramatically Improves the Process of Finding the Right Therapist; Promotes Individual and Social Wellness

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 4, 2009) - MyTherapistMatch.com (MTM) announced today that is has officially launched its service. MTM provides therapist-seekers with an unprecedented method for finding the right therapist, using compatibility-based matching. MTM improves the experience of finding the right therapist and simultaneously helps therapists connect with clients who are motivated to be in a therapeutic relationship.

MTM's matchmaking process is simple for clients and therapists. Both parties complete a survey that reveals important personality characteristics, preferences and attitudes, which are then captured as data points to ultimately match clients with therapists based on compatibility. The service is free for therapist-seekers. Therapists are charged a monthly fee to join the site and be matched with compatible prospective clients.

"The genesis for MyTherapistMatch.com occurred when I spent time searching for a therapist that I could really connect with," said Corey Quinn, CEO and founder of MTM. "I was disappointed that the process was so time consuming and difficult. I realized that others must be struggling with this same problem, and I wanted to find a way to really help them. MTM's compatibility-based approach to finding a therapist dramatically improves the therapist-finding process."

Corey has partnered with Dr. Robert Dee McDonald, co-founder of the Telos Healing Center, director of Mental Wellness at the Center for New Medicine, and internationally known author and seminar-leader. Robert has been instrumental in developing the therapist/therapist-seeker matchmaking methodologies that MTM employs.

"This service will prove to be an invaluable asset to mental health professionals everywhere. MyTherapistMatch.com adds a new dimension to the process of connecting therapists with clients. As someone with an established practice, I am well aware that the compatibility factor is key," said Dr. Marjorie Rand, a Los Angeles-based therapist. "I think this is a brilliant service -- it's the closest thing to a personal referral, which is how it was done before the Internet."
