NaiKun Announces Community Open Houses

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 10, 2008) - NaiKun Wind Energy Group Inc. ("NaiKun") (TSX VENTURE:NKW) has announced plans for open houses in North Coast communities in early October.

Community feedback, together with results from extensive environmental studies, will be included in NaiKun's application for an environmental assessment certificate (EAC), which will be submitted to the Environmental Assessment Office in early 2009. Further opportunities for community input will be provided in spring 2009 as part of the environmental assessment process.

"NaiKun is holding these open houses to share information about the project and to get input and feedback from local communities," said Matt Burns, Vice President of NaiKun. "Local input will help us improve our overall project design and support the development of our EAC."

"NaiKun is committed to designing and building the project in consideration of community interests," added Burns. "These open houses form part of NaiKun's broader community relations and consultation program, which includes small group meetings, information mail-outs, a community information office - the Haida Gwaii Energy Centre, and other initiatives."

Open houses are being held in Port Edward, Prince Rupert, Masset and
Skidegate. A brochure with information about the open houses will be delivered to local homes and businesses in September. More information, including the open house schedule, is available on NaiKun's website at www.naikun.ca.
