Napera Hires New VP of Worldwide Sales to Meet Growing Demand for Secure, Healthy Networks in Small to Medium Size Enterprises

Napera Taps Former Cisco and WatchGuard Sales Executive Cary Kosher to Accelerate Global Expansion Through Strategic Resellers and Partnerships

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - April 30, 2008) - Napera Networks (, dedicated to making network security affordable and easy for small to medium size enterprises (SME), today announced the appointment of Cary Kosher as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. This announcement follows the company's recent introduction of the Napera product line at the RSA 2008 Conference.

Napera's N24 and N24S appliances provide employees and guests with secure access to company resources, while also ensuring a "healthy network" -- a network that operates at peak efficiency and is free from unknown systems and infected machines, ensuring maximum employee productivity and helping a business' bottom line. Only Napera offers a superior and affordable approach to today's over-engineered Network Access Control (NAC) products with a fast 10-minute installation, intuitive management service in the cloud, and seamless integration with Microsoft's Network Access Protection (NAP) architecture.

"As we expand our business, Cary's commitment to sales leadership, and demonstrated background in network security for SMEs, will be incredibly valuable to Napera," said Todd Hooper, co-founder and CEO at Napera. "Cary played a key role in developing the SME market and strengthening partner relationships at WatchGuard. I am confident that he will repeat his success in leading the global sales team for Napera."

Formerly with Cisco, Kosher received top accolades for his sales performance and was instrumental in driving annual growth for mobility sales, achieving 30-percent year-over-year growth rates. Kosher joined Cisco via the January 2005 acquisition of Airespace, where he served as Director of Sales and grew the business from $0 to $20M in 18 months. Kosher led the field team as well as managed and closed large strategic accounts, including the largest single sale at Airespace. He was also a top performer during his career at WatchGuard as Senior Vice President of Sales for the Americas where he was part of the original management team that brought appliance-based firewalls to the SME market as well as guiding the company through a successful IPO that created $3 billion in market valuation. Kosher has a Bachelors Degree in Communications from the University of Washington.

"Catering to a largely underserved market with a new approach to solve today's network security crisis makes this role extremely exciting," said Kosher. "With a rise in mobile workforces, small to medium enterprises don't know the health and identity of the computers on their networks. Napera is unique in providing a solution designed for SMEs that is easy to deploy and manage. I am looking forward to accelerating the market adoption of the Napera product line."
