National Bank of Canada Intends to Provide Global-Style Liquidity Facility to Fusion Trust

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 12, 2007) - National Bank of Canada (TSX:NA) has announced that it intends to convert its current backstop liquidity facility to its bank-sponsored asset-backed commercial paper conduit, Fusion Trust, to a global-style liquidity facility. National Bank of Canada provides an active secondary market for Fusion Trust which has not suffered any liquidity issues. Fusion Trust holds only traditional Canadian assets.
