National Institutes of Health Extends Contract With VFA for Facilities Capital Planning and Management Solution

Agreement Valued at $3.7 Million Over Five Years

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - December 10, 2007) - VFA, Inc., the leading provider of end-to-end solutions for facilities capital planning and asset management, today announced that the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is extending its long-standing relationship with VFA to provide facility condition assessment services and VFA.facility® capital planning software. Under the terms of the agreement, valued at $3.7 million over five years, NIH will continue to license VFA.facility software, and VFA will provide detailed condition assessments of NIH facilities.

NIH has relied on VFA solutions for facilities capital planning and management since 2002. VFA facility assessment services help NIH understand current conditions and requirements across its facilities, which include almost 13.2 million square feet of owned and leased laboratories, hospitals and administrative buildings. VFA.facility® software serves as a central source of information about NIH's facility assets, and enables the organization to effectively prioritize capital projects and optimally allocate funding for facility renewals and other improvements.
