Nation's Most Progressive Stormwater Practitioners

Pacific Northwest's Experts to Teach Workshops on State-of-the-Art Pollution Prevention

SANTA BARBARA, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- November 14, 2006 -- Cities across the nation look to the Pacific Northwest as a leader in stormwater management. StormCon, the nation's largest stormwater conference, will present three full-day workshops on stormwater management, taught by nationally recognized experts from the Pacific Northwest on December 1, 2006, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sea-Tac Marriott in Seattle, WA.

More than 200 government professionals, engineers, consultants, and contractors are expected to gather to learn the absolute latest stormwater pollution prevention techniques from expert consultants.

Nationally renowned hydrologic scientist Dr. Derek Booth, who coauthored the recent letter signed by 13 other Puget Sound-area scientists demanding a better plan to reduce stormwater runoff pollution and its damage to Puget Sound, will open the workshops on Friday, December 1, at 8:15 a.m. with a talk on the need and possibilities for effective action that addresses the issues and concerns that led to the letter. Booth also will teach in two of the three workshops below. For further workshop information or to register online visit www.StormCon.com/seattle.
