QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 14, 2009) - Nemaska Exploration Inc. (Nemaska or the Corporation) announces the assays results received from 9 grab samples taken on the Whabouchi property.

The nine (9) grab samples of spodumene bearing pegmatite were obtained by blasting multiple sites located over more than 750 m of the known extension of pegmatite showings. The assays results are as follows:

"Based on these excellent high grade results we are accelerating our ground work which began earlier this month" commented Mr. Guy Bourassa President and Chief Executive Officer. "We will use all the time available to us before the first snow fall to get the most information on a maximum of outcrops to better target the 5,000 m drill program which we plan to begin before the end of the year ".

The sealed samples were sent by courier to the Lakefield laboratory of SGS Mineral Services in Lakefield, Ontario, for preparation and analysis. This laboratory is recognized by industry and accredited ISO/MEC 17025: 2005 by the Canadian Council of standards. The laboratory applies a system of insurance and quality control to all the stages of analysis. The samples were analyzed by fusion and completion AA and ICP. The results of analysis, expressed in Li% and Be%, were converted into Li2O% (Li% X 2.153) and into BeO% (Be% X 2.775) for this press release. It is important to remember that these samples are grab samples and that they must be regarded as such.

The historical work reported on the Whabouchi property consists of five drill holes (463.2 m) done by Canico in 1962 and 1963, summary geological work and sampling by the SDBJ (Corporation of Developpement de la Baie James) in 1978 and sampling by Inco Inc. in 2002. The attached map shows the location of the sample sites of Nemaska, as well as the drilling sites of Canico in 1962 and 1963 and the samples sites of Inco Inc. in 2002.

Trenching, channel sampling and prospecting work are presently being carried out on the property. It will allow Nemaska to better understand the distribution of the pegmatite and to sample it systematically. A short 600 m diamond drilling campaign will start around October 15. The objective of the program is to validate the historical results of Canico diamond drilling.

The Whabouchi property is well serviced by the existing infrastructure of the Relais Routier Nemiscau Camp (CCDC) which is located about 12 km to the West. In addition, the main Lac des Montagnes showing is located about 1 km South of the Route du Nord (permanent road). between Chibougamau and the Route de la Baie James. The Whabouchi property is entirely covered by main cell phone networks.

The technical sections of this press release have been prepared and reviewed by Denis Raymond. Geo. Eng. and qualified person according to NI 43-101 guidelines.
