Neptune Industries Featured on Front Page of Local Newspaper

BOCA RATON, FL--(Marketwire - December 20, 2007) - Neptune Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: NPDI), a next generation aquaculture technology company with diversified interests in production system technology, food science, sustainable seafood, waste-to-energy production, and related natural and organic food products, announced today that the Company was featured in a cover page article of the Boca Raton News, titled, "Boca Based Firm Seeks a Better Fish Food."

The article referenced the Company's recent research results on its Ento-Protein™ product. Ento-Protein™ is a high quality, sustainable protein derived from insects, and is intended to be a replacement for the scarce fishmeal now used in fish and animal diets. Both U.S. and Canadian government agencies, as well as numerous NGOs, have denounced fishmeal as an ingredient for sustainable and organic fish and animal diets. Ento-Protein™ is being developed to further reduce the industry's dependence upon wild fish stocks used to make fishmeal.

Neptune CEO Ernest Papadoyianis told the Boca Raton News, "The U.S. seafood market now eclipses $65 billion dollars, of which over 78% is imported. This places seafood as the largest natural resource contributing to the national deficit, other than petroleum."

Managing Editor John Johnston added, "Toward reducing that national deficit, Neptune is producing sustainable seafood right here at home, and also in creating a better fish feed."
