NeuLion Steps in to Carry College Conference Realignment Breaking News

The University of Nebraska and University of Colorado Make Historic Moves

PLAINVIEW, NY--(Marketwire - June 21, 2010) - The recent conference changes in college sports showed prominent athletic programs finding new homes as Nebraska moved from the Big 12 to the Big Ten Conference and Colorado switched from the Big 12 to the Pac-10 Conference. On the heels of these epic announcements, both schools relied on Digital Media Partner, NeuLion, Inc. As existing partners for E-commerce, Web and Video publishing services, NeuLion's technology and marketing support helped Nebraska and Colorado communicate these historic changes to the college landscape. Engaging their respective fan bases with high quality video was a must for both universities.

"When you're in a fast-moving environment, you want partners who can work with speed and precision. Never was that more evident than the day Nebraska became a Big Ten Conference member, and we carried back-to-back live press conferences on our website. On short notice, NeuLion was able to orchestrate everything that was necessary for our fans around the world to sit at their computers and watch history being made. The pressure was on, and NeuLion came through once again," said Randy York, Director of at the University of Nebraska.

As a leader in IPTV and multi-platform delivery of news, sports and entertainment, NeuLion's streaming support for the Huskers' and Buffs' live press conferences brought the breaking news to their global fan base.

"Once we became aware of our announcement to move to the Pac-10 Conference, we contacted our partners at NeuLion with a list of things we were hoping for help with and a quick brainstorm on ways to maximize the site traffic we were anticipating on," said Lindsay Lew, Director of Strategic Sales and Communication at the University of Colorado. "They delivered ideas, content and graphics to our web team in less than an hour, and the day of our press conference they had all hands on deck to deliver flawless back-end execution for our team and awesome customer support to our fans who were watching the live stream of our press conference. Their dedication was key to the great success of our big day."
