New 844-Space Public Parking Facility Now Open in Downtown Miami

Miami Parking Authority's Courthouse Center Garage Now Accepting Short-Term and Monthly Parkers

MIAMI, FL--(Marketwire - January 18, 2010) - Downtown Miami's new Courthouse Center Garage, built and operated by the Miami Parking Authority (MPA), is now open for business. The 844-space, fully automated garage is located at 40 NW 3rd Street across the street from the Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr. Federal Courthouse. The Courthouse Center garage is open to the public and offers both short-term public parking and monthly contract parking.

The garage is part of MPA's Courthouse Center mixed-use facility, an 11-story structure that also includes approximately 41,000 square feet of office space and 4,100 square feet of street-level retail space. Construction of the office and retail components is almost complete.

Courthouse Center brings additional parking, shopping and dining options to an underserved area of downtown Miami. Workers and visitors to the courthouse complex and the surrounding neighborhood will benefit.

The Miami Parking Authority contributes to the growth and economic development of the City of Miami by investing in development, construction and management of parking and other public facilities. Affordable, convenient parking options -- such as this new facility -- attract and serve both tourists and residents.
