New Accommodations at Forillon National Park of Canada

GASPE, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Aug. 5, 2008) - Forillon National Park of Canada is improving its accommodation offer for the summer season. Together with Les Petites Maisons du Parc, Forillon is giving the visitors the chance to stay in fully equipped yurts in Cap-Bon-Ami, as well as at the Petit-Gaspe and group campgrounds. The park is also making two ready-to-use tent trailers available for campers at the Petit-Gaspe and Des-Rosiers campgrounds. It's an incredible opportunity to discover Forillon in a comfortable environment!

This year, visitors will also benefit from new additions to various sites. There are fire pits on all Petit-Gaspe campsites, the power system has been upgraded at the Des-Rosiers campground, and several campsites have been expanded in order to accommodate larger equipment.

In terms of ecological management, campgrounds now come with waste containers for propane cylinders. This improvement is possible thanks to the help of Gaz Propane Rainville, a Granby company who will collect and recycle the small cylinders.

The aim of the pilot project, which was started last winter at Forillon, is to improve the visitors' stay at the park and to offer new experiences through innovative products. Forillon intends to develop its accommodations over the next years. In order to do so, the park is conducting surveys to find out more about visitors' camping and general needs.

Forillon National Park of Canada is part of the system of national parks and national historic sites of Canada, which offer quality services and exceptional heritage experiences for visitors.
