New Boutique Movie Company Carpe Diem Films LLC Seizes the Day With Its First Specialized Release "Buddha Wild Monk in a Hut"

NEW YORK CITY, NY--(Marketwire - November 13, 2007) - New company Carpe Diem Films LLC has just sold the Educational rights for Israel, Canada and the USA, to its first feature film project "Buddha Wild Monk in a Hut" on a non exclusive basis to Parallel Lines/Forward in Time in New York. "Buddha Wild Monk in a Hut" was recently called "A must see film" by Splash Magazines and "A surprisingly Pleasant Trip" by LA Weekly who gave the film Critics Pick.

The film, still in theatrical roll out and securing art house exhibition dates, played in Los Angeles art house cinemas and as part of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation Screening series, and is being released simultaneously on DVD. In Australia "Buddha Wild" is handled by Gil Scrine Films who also handle hit indie titles "McLibel," "The Corporation," "Sophie Scholl" and "The Real Dirt on Farmer John."

Director, Writer and Narrator Anna Wilding was cited in writing by independent distributor Cineville at one point as being "one of the most active and talented producers and artists to come out of Britain for years." Ms. Wilding stated that she made the film, that has been called "heartwarming and engaging" by critics, as a direct result of racism she witnessed while overseas. "I had two ways to deal with it: make a hard hitting controversial film about racism, or else make a happy positive and upbeat themed film, that gave the public greater understanding into Asian culture and Buddhism -- I chose the latter. I hope to do it again." In January Ms. Wilding is confirmed to speak on a Panel with other film executives in NYC on the upside and downside of investing in independent film over studio pictures and the realities of recoupment in today's marketplace.

Carpe Diem Films LLC has a slate of feature film projects in development including the 20USD million dollar project "Butterflies" based on the lives of female pioneering aviatrixes.
