With the future of the new Hall secure, Tim Casgrain, Chairman of the Hall's Board of Governors today announced the appointment of Claire Buffone-Blair as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Hall.

"I am very excited about the future of Canada's Sports Hall of Fame, with its new facilities and opportunities to establish outreach programs across Canada" said Buffone-Blair. "I very much look forward to working with Sheryn and with others who will help make the Hall a real success."

"Sheryn's role has been instrumental to the revitalization of the Hall over the last five years," said Tim Casgrain, "We congratulate Sheryn for her leadership of the Hall, her hardwork and her achievements, and we appreciate her offer to continue as a consultant, providing valuable assistance to Claire during this transition period."
