"We're very excited to have someone of Carol's ability and experience to lead our organization into the future," said Board of Trade Chair Becky McKinnon. "She has an outstanding record of strengthening and developing non-profit organizations such as ours, both as a leader and as a builder of teams and relationships." **

"I'm excited to be joining such a dynamic organization at such an important time for our city and its business community," said Wilding, a Chartered Accountant who began her career at PriceWaterhouse.

"This is a time of major change in Toronto, with the new City of Toronto Act and the ongoing debate over a new deal for cities. It's also a time of growth for the Board of Trade, with the recent integration with the Etobicoke Chamber of Commerce and the addition of RBC as our fourth Principal Sponsor."

"I'm looking forward to tackling the Board's two key roles -- helping business in Toronto connect and succeed, and helping build a better city," concludes Wilding, who replaces Glen Grunwald as CEO of the 162 year old organization.
